Review Process
The originals sent to the journal Investigación y Ciencia de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes will be subjected to a preliminary evaluation to verify compliance with the formal aspects established by the journal. If the articles pass this evaluation, they go on to a Scientific Evaluation, the evaluation criteria being the following:

Important aspects in the process.
1. The editor reserves the right to return to the authors, the articles that do not compliance the criteria for publication.
2. The evaluation process will be carried out in an order, according to the date of receipt. The estimated time of the evaluation and acceptance process is 6 months.
3. The journal Investigación y Ciencia de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes uses the iThenticate software to detect coincidences and similarities between the texts submitted in the journal and those previously published in other sources. The results are sent to the author.
4. All papers are submitted to a double-blind review process by academic peers (specialists) by the Portfolio of Referees that makes up the journal, which is made up of members of the SNII or expert researchers in the area belonging to nationally and internationally recognized Research Institutions. Each paper is reviewed by at least two referees, specifying in the opinion whether the article is accepted intact, with modifications, or if it is definitively rejected. In the event of discrepant results, the paper will be sent to a third referee, whose result will be final. It is necessary thet the referees, declare to the editor through a free format, the use of AI in the evaluation.
5. The editor will inform to the corresponding author the result of the evaluation through the “Observations” format; If the article is accepted with modifications, the author must address them within a period of no more than 10 business days and will send back to the editor the electronic file of the article along with a response file in a WORD format. The file consists of a detailed explanation of the modifications made taking each and every one of the observations indicated by the referees. The evaluator's comment and corresponding action or response from the author must be included. On the article it is not necessary to include the annotations made by the referees.
6. When the author takes more than 30 days to respond to the referee’s suggestions, the article will not be considered for publication in the next issue of the journal.
7. The editor will inform to the corresponding author, the progress of their article in the evaluation process, the rejection, or the date of its publication.
8. The journal reserves the right to advance or postpone the accepted articles in order to give a better structure to each issue in accordance with the editorial policy.
9. Once the article has been accepted, it will undergo a style and format review for its final version. A preliminary WORD format version will be sent to the corresponding author and returned to the editor two days after receipt. If preliminary version is not submitted on time, The article will be published online with corrections according to the criteria of the editorial team.
10. The articles presented are the full responsibility of the author (or authors) and do not necessarily reflect the criteria of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, unless otherwise specified.
The Investigación y Ciencia de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes journal adheres to the COPE code (Code of Conduct and Best Practices Guidelines for Journals Editors, Committee on Publication Ethics).
Confidentiality
Any article submitted to the journal Investigación y Ciencia de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes will be treated with absolute confidentiality throughout the editorial process. Only the editor and the assigned referee will issue an opinion on it.
