The Institutional Educational Model (IEM) of the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes is the main model of education taught in it. This model presents the most relevant guidelines to achieve a comprehensive and humanistic education, based on its socio-constructivist conception centered on the student and in compliance with the educational trends of the twenty-first century. To achieve the implementation of teaching and learning processes, based on the precepts of the IEM, it is essential that the training of teachers is comprehensive and balanced between the pedagogical and didactic knowledge for its application and the knowledge of their areas of specialty according to the subjects taught.
