This article presents the educational experience resulting from the design and validation of a tutor formation program for the Centro Regional de Educación Normal del Estado de Aguascalientes (CRENA), aiming to address the need derived from the establishment of tutoring as a curricular element in the student formation in normal schools (SEP, 2012). Though the institution had an institutional Tutoring Program (PIT) the program had to be adapted for both the demands of the Secretaría de Educación Pública and the own needs of the educational stakeholders of the program. Starting from the conceptions issued by institutions and authors about tutoring as a theoretical base allows to explain the performed actions to conduct the educational project that is presented and continued with the obtained results, where the acquired learning and its conveyance from formed tutors excel. All of this aiming to the improvement of further experiences of this nature.
