In recent years, statistical studies for the measurement system analysis (MSA) of parts of the automotive industry have gained strength not only by their versatility to study attributes and variables, but also by the easiness they provide organizations to release their measuring devices on production lines and thus, be able to control the quality of their products easily and reliable. This note exposes the methodology that was followed for the statistical validation of the checking fixture used in a design and development contest for measuring devices for components of the automotive industry, where the first place was obtained.
