Resumen

La economía del compartir ha emergido como una nueva forma de desarrollar y ofrecer productos y servicios, donde se engloban un conjunto de actividades y acciones con diversas características, junto a ella han surgido también una cantidad de promesas y paradojas. Las nuevas tendencias socioeconómicas y los cambios actitudinales en algunos sectores de la población han llevado a que la economía del compartir adquiera percepciones positivas entre los individuos. El interés por este fenómeno no solo se ha incrementado en la sociedad en general, sino también en el ámbito académico. Este artículo busca aportar por medio de una revisión de literatura con el objetivo de identificar las diferencias y supuestos que subyacen en las diversas definiciones propuestas por los investigadores y académicos en torno a este fenómeno, las cuales giran alrededor del papel que debe jugar el altruismo y la comercialización en los actos de compartir.
