Abstract

It reflects on the importance of communicative abilities in the different undergraduate educational programs, being these a transversal axis for undergraduate and future professionals’ integral development. It is based on the theoretical and documentary review, as well as the own educators’ experience in the Communication Department from the Social Sciences and Humanities from the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA). It can be concluded that although communicative abilities are highly valued in the work sector, not all the educational programs at UAA consider these abilities as aspects of program outcomes.
