Abstract

Mexico has experienced a relevant rise of the amount of women enrolled in higher education, even in degree studies traditionally considered as masculine. This article is about the entrance of women at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. In this article I will look at some historical items and experiences of some women who went to college and had to face some obstacles, observing gender inequalities that persisted at that time. The methodology consists of a historiographical review that takes findings in external research and an approach to women through oral history, sharing here some of the testimonies of students of the university.
