In 2017, the III Ibero-American Colloquium on Musical Research was held in Santiago de Chile, in which the topic “Music and women in Ibero-America: making music from the gender condition” was discussed, where history was given voice and, at the same time, to the initiatives of women musicians in the Latin sphere. Among the various works presented, one of them was that of Romina Dezillio, in which she demonstrates the problems that have existed for the incorporation of women into musical practices in Argentina, focusing on the history of four women who fought during the 20th century to reach their space in a society of patriarchal customs and attitudes.
