In this article, the author presents a reflection on the areas of opportunity that some students reflect at the moment of interrelating the objectives and contents that compose the diverse subjects of the curriculum (Curr) of the bachelor’s in music in the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. To offset them, the author suggests that teachers should rely on David Ausubel´s meaningful learning theory, with the purpose of fomenting processes of teaching-learning that promote the development of critical and reflexive thinking and promoting a higher integral training. Due to this, a panoramic description on the theory of meaningful learning is proposed, as well as some strategies and ideas to promote it.
