Abstract

: Introduction: In a globalized world, the unstoppable advance of technologies has had an important influence on the dimensions of human activity, in such a way that it has modified culture and even the way of seeing life, to the point of being considered indispensable for almost all areas of knowledge. In the field of education, technologies have contributed to modify the methodologies in which the teaching-learning process takes place, particularly in the Nursing discipline. Objective: To identify the transcendence of the implementation of the Smart Nurse methodology in the training of human resources in Nursing at the undergraduate level during a specific period. Methodology: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study of quantitative cut, carried out in ten groups of the undergraduate Nursing program at a public university in San Luis Potosi, where the Smart Nurse methodology was implemented and a survey was made to participating students about their experience with it. Results: A total of 265 undergraduate students participated, where the majority were women; it was identified that more than 80% of the participants were motivated during the classes, in addition to the fact that they learned better with the use of technological tools. Conclusions: Students perceive that classes are better with the methodology. It is necessary to complement the present work with qualitative research studies.
