Abstract

The Burnout Syndrome is a psychological condition related to the job activity of individuals, especially those who have frequent contact with people. It develops gradually and has the distinction of being contagious. It has three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment. This is a part of a bigger work made in order to study this syndrome in secondary education teachers from two subsystems in Aguascalientes. The results showed that the type of institution in which they work was not significantly associated with high levels of the syndrome. In addition, a significant relationship between high levels of the syndrome and four areas of working life was found.
