Abstract

This article looks at the complex relationship between students, violence and social networking sites, by the study of two cases of the Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades, campus Naucalpan of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. On one hand, it analyzes the uses that students gave to a Facebook group in two different contexts. One, of manifestations of violence that occurred in the school. The other one, of amusement because of the arrival of the first year students. On the other hand, it shows how interactions within the social network site give rise to positions regarding the events, violence and pairs.
