Abstract

The text presents a landscape on the development of the ruling group that is integrated once the violent phase of the Revolution is over. It shows that the political leadership in Aguascalientes changes in nature at each stage of its development and that tensions in the social order frequently occur due to the inability of the political system to channel the social changes that result from a modernization process that accelerated in the last decades of the century. The approach to this reality allows to conclude that the political elite that was integrated in the third decade of the XX century began a cycle that reached its greatest splendor during the fifties and seventies and that reached a significant crisis in the nineties, product of multiple factors, among which the decomposition of the dynamics with which the group in power operated and especially the inability to successfully reproduce the leading cadres.
