Abstract

From the position of Elton Guba and Yvonna Lincoln, this work starts from the tight correspondence which can be established between the traditional criteria used in the psychometric tradition to evaluate the quality of a test (reliability, validity on diverse modalities, etc.) and those criteria used for some authors of qualitative tradition to determine the quality of research with non- conventional focus. In this way, it is intended to demonstrate that both groups of criteria are variants of more general quality demands which can be applied to any field if they are conceived with enough amplitude.
