Through a creative essay, Patricia Henríquez's performative video installation, Kuautlan (2021), is analyzed in the light of Erika Fischer-Lichte's contributions on the aesthetics of the performative. Held at the Chopo University Museum within the framework of the Malinche, Malinches 2020/2021 project convened by La máquina del teatro. The work consists of a plastic intervention by the artist on the projection of an audiovisual archive composed of testimonies of hundreds of Mexican women who, by sharing their daily experiences, resignify the historical figure of La Malinche and build a collective biography against the patriarchal hegemonic discourse that places women on the margins of history.
