This writing is a review of the book Teresa Margolles. A Biopolitical Essay, by María Isabel Cabrera Manuel, edited by the University of Guanajuato and published in 2021. The review gives an account of the two areas linked in the book: philosophy and art, more specifically, contemporary biopolitics as a framework for understanding violence in Mexico through the pieces by the Sinaloan artist "What else can we talk about", "La herida" and "La promesa".
