Acting from Laboratoria Performativa: A proposal of artivism

Abstract

This proposal comes from my participation as speaker in the 2021 broadcast of the Arte Imagen y Sonido Colloquium conducted by the Centro de las Artes y la Cultura and the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, specifically within the two thematic lines then registered: Arte, Memoria(s) y Feminismos, y Cuerpo(s), afectividad y telepresencia (Art, Memor(ies), Feminisms, and Bod(ies), affectivity and telepresence), which correspond to the very breath that originated the self-managed creation-research-pedagogy space called Laboratoria Performativa.

To share the goals promoted in this thinking-feeling common space linked to art is the objective of this proposal, emphasizing the most recent oeuvres which came from the Corazonar desde la incertidumbre program, in hopes of making known the desire for social contribution pursued by assuming the responsibility our cooperation toward collective wellbeing implies. Herein comes the notion of Artivism coined for this matter.
