Abstract

Montage cinema is a proposal that seeks to recycle and reuse audiovisual archives to build a new work. In the current era, which we call the hypervisual era where the recording and dissemination of audiovisual content is proliferating, the proposal of artistic reappropriation becomes a way of resistance and of giving new life to these records with a new discourse. Based on the analysis of two cases: Iraqi Short Films and of the North, we seek to deepen about the possibilities of this cinematographic practice that comes out of the industrial production schemes.
