This research seeks to identify the social impact of the artistic production: Cuarenta y Una , a performance by hidrocálida (from Aguascalientes) artist Alicia Cruz. The performance took place on November 27th, 2019 in the city of Aguascalientes, during the International Performance Festival. Additionally, it determines the relationship of this performance with the current Mexican feminist movement and social justice art. In consideration of all the above are taken the historical precedents of the feminist movement and feminist art in Latin America. Mainly, those demonstrations that have taken place in Mexico, in the contemporary feminist context which is caracterized by protests, demands and change, both inside the movement and in its means of expression.
