The expansion and universal internet access as well as the development of databases and biological sciences servers have made that the information can be at everyone’s reach in an easy and simple way. During the recent pandemic, the search for virtual tools detonated in order to strengthen the distance teaching strategies the use of platforms such as SWISS-MODEL (Swiss model) resulted to be useful, which allows the development of 3D models of proteins. These platforms are useful in the design and production of biological medicines and biomaterials production; also, they can be an option that allows to develop new virtual learning strategies to visualize the protean structures. In the meantime, with the use of platforms for the 3D modeling of proteins, the distance learning improves in the biological areas, when generating new strategies that allow to facilitate the conveying of knowledge to teachers and students.
