Four decades ago, the young people of that time did not dream of Aguascalientes having a university, neither public nor private. As high school graduates in 1970, we had faced only three paths: 1) Migrate to Mexico's major cities and enroll in a university. 2) Stay in Aguascalientes and study one of the first two degrees offered by the Instituto Autónomo de Ciencias y Tecnología. 3) Suspend the studies and look for a job.
