Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Unit 011, currently offers the Master's in Basic Education, which targets professionals in education who work in basic education. The first cohort currently consists of twenty-one members, seven of whom work in preschool education, eleven in primary education, two in secondary education, and one in CONAFE. One of the cross-cutting competencies that education professionals are expected to develop is the ability to use ICT in the learning and teaching processes of students (Gallegos, Guerra, Longoria, & Morales, 2009). In addition to this curricular framework, there are other regulatory references that establish the need for teachers to develop digital skills competencies.
