In the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM), the subject of Vector Calculus, which is taught in the third semester of the careers offered in that institution and is part of the common core of each of the study plans, is characterized by a high failure rate. It is well known that this problem exists from the basic to the higher level, in the latter causing student dropout. For this reason, it was decided to implement an alternative of academic support for second year students; a longitudinal study was carried out in time, before and after applying tutorial strategies over a period of four years, achieving a decrease of up to 20%.
