UAA's educational programs have undergone national and international external evaluation processes in order to ensure their quality. As a result, the University has obtained countless recognition placing it as a quality reference at national level, in addition to having left important lessons for the entire university community.
For this article, professors who have participated in these processes were interviewed. Based on their contributions, benefits generated from external evaluation were defined: responsibility, knowledge of the University, action and transformation, collaborative work, professional and personal growth, continuous improvement, and identity and sense of why to do things.
The experience obtained from the external evaluation processes opens a door for the entire university community to get involved in them with an open-to-change attitude, with ethical and social responsibility, giving priority to the humanistic formation that governs the institution.
