This article reflects on pedagogical strategies supported by transmedia narratives and their implementation within an educational context related to audiovisual creation and training. Using a qualitative approach, the study is based on a comparative analysis of the novel and its audiovisual adaptation, Temporada de huracanes, by Fernanda Melchor. The methodology involved the reading of selected excerpts from the literary work alongside the viewing of its audiovisual adaptation, followed by a comparative examination of scenes and narrative structures. Based on this process, group discussions were conducted focusing on the social context of the work, its narrative elements, and the discursive components of audiovisual language. The findings revealed both the relationships and the differences between the literary and audiovisual formats. This exercise enabled students to develop adaptation skills through the creation of their own audiovisual proposals. The study concludes that transmedia narratives constitute a pedagogical resource with significant potential for audiovisual education, provided that their implementation is supported by appropriate instructional planning and a solid theoretical foundation.
