Digital tools in Nursing education: a systematic review

: Introduction: The importance of the use of digital tools to enrich the training of students in the health area and the development of their skills, has had its greatest growth with the pandemic caused by COVID-19. Given this reality, it is necessary to have evidence of the impact of its use. Objective: To elaborate a systematic literature review to understand the published evidence on the use of digital tools in Nursing in the last five years and how digital tools support the learning of students of the same profession. Methodology: The search for information was carried out through a question, and using the PICO methodology, as well as the PRISMA method, exhaustive searches of relevant articles were carried out through databases in each literature repository, such as Medline, Embase, Scopus, Cochrane, etc., selecting Pubmed, from among them so that, through a general review, a purification of articles could be carried out. Results: Fourteen articles were selected that met the inclusion criteria where it was identified that digital tools supported student’s learning to develop socioemotional and thinking skills, as well as to learn permanently learn and to socialize the professional Nursing role. Conclusions: Digital tools offer possibilities for innovation in teaching and learning for healthcare professionals.
