Introduction: Parasitic diseases continue to be important in terms of public health in our country due to their high morbidity and mortality. Objective: Various publications and epidemiological studies have been generated from various national and foreign institutions about helminths with extraintestinal location, however, there are no updated reports that group the works published in the last two decades, therefore the objective is to show how more uniform the results of these publications in the different areas of the Mexican Republic. Methods: A retrospective search of 20 years to date was carried out through various platforms. Results: 238 articles were collected (original research, review article, case report and letter to the editor, with different approaches such as epidemiological, clinical, diagnosis, treatment and molecular) concomitant with these diseases, to know the behavior of these agents until the moment. Conclusion: This work will serve to know the current state of parasites in the Mexican territory in order to create preventive measures aimed at the population at risk.
