Green tea and ginger tea have been linked to improved sports performance; this is important for soccer players to achieve better performance on the field. The study's objective was to evaluate the influence of the consumption of green tea and ginger tea on the soccer player's sports performance. This was a blind-controlled clinical trial in 19 soccer players aged 14 to 19 years, using 5 g of green tea and 30 g of ginger tea, administered in four workouts at least five minutes before training. The “T” test, Cooper test, and Ruffier-Dickson evaluate the soccer player's performance; these tests were applied pre and post maneuver. No statistically significant difference was found between the treatments. Ginger tea had a negative impact on participants 'endurance, while green tea had positive results (p = 0.006) on soccer players' speed and agility. In conclusion, to improve the soccer player's sports performance, it is advisable to use green tea and consider the side effects of ginger tea.
