Abstract

Wikipedia in Spanish has not only become a place to store information of a general nature as in the traditional encyclopedias that preceded it, but is constantly updated from the journalistic information that is generated instantly. Once a relevant event appears in the media, the online encyclopedia is updated by one or more editors, becoming a source of first-hand consultation. This is why for active editors who participate in the collective construction of the encyclopedia, it is important that the basic rules are respected: encyclopedic relevance and neutral point of view. In this article we will see how the interaction of different users, both active and anonymous users who make vandalism, influence the reconstruction of public opinion from the cases of two articles in Wikipedia in Spanish.
