Abstract

This article is a result of the study “Social representations of guadalupanismo contained in the program La Rosa de Guadalupe”, developed as a master thesis in the Communication program of the University of Guadalajara. It presents some of the outcomes of a discourse analysis of the prayers that constitute the narrative structure of the television program La Rosa de Guadalupe ( lRG ) and to explain how it uses certain linguistic, intertextual and narrative resources to convey a persuasive message linked to a form of religious evangelism through the mediation of television.
