Abstract

Homophobia is one of the burning social issues that are part of the agenda of certain political and social instances of the country. When people talk about human rights. plurality and inclusion and, specifically, of sexual diversity and within it gayness, stands out the stigmatization for breaking into the generic order and challenging the heteronormative regime. Placing the phenomenon of homophobia from its genealogy, mechanisms and strategies, invites to know subjects who live this social problem from the identity closet. The present article. generated from the results obtained in a doctoral research on gay visibility in Aguascalientes, provides elements of analysis to understand the particular existence and effects of homophobia in young university students in Aguascalientes
