Abstract

This paper offers a reflection on a research practice that was carried out in a master's degree in research on psychology about couple relationships and satisfaction or dissatisfaction in them. We sought to identify the causes to which satisfaction or dissatisfaction was attributed through semi-structured interviews, building and applying categories based on what was said. A reflection is shown regarding the methodology used, its scope, limitations, successes and failures, as well as a different look once the investigation was concluded, which allows us to reflect on the practice during this work. The importance of having a critical perspective on the research process itself is discussed, as well as the influence of the researcher during the implementation of the study.
