Abstract

This article presents sorne partial results of the research: "The
production of news in Aguascalientes: how everyday journalism is built".
Through an empirical approach to the journalistic practice developed
by a newspaper of a Mexican city (case study). the author describes
and analyses the new production process from the postulates of the
theoretical perspective called Sociology of journalism. The study was
integrated having as basis a qualitative methodology using the
participating observation and the profound interview techniques.
The intention is to discover what type of social practices are developed
by the actors of news construction in Aguascalientes in arder to face
their socially legitimised chore of habitual narration of the everyday
happening.
The relevance of characterising the routines of news construction is
that these routines articulate procedures and activities that synthesise
structures of socialisation and interpretation of the reality through
which local journalists build informative reports about the environment.
