Abstract

The development of the hermeneutics of the self is presented in the work of Paul Ricoeur, together with the problems that have arisen around the notion of identity, in order to outline a theory of identity as a narrative, which we call the dissolution of the first person, for being an approach against the idea of a substantial self. The anthropological notions of the hermeneutical philosophy are summed up, combining them in a narrative vision adapted to the current problematic.
