Abstract

Troughthe use of qualitative methods, such as ethnography and qualitative technics of data analysis, this essay show how Mariquita, and old woman from old minning town (Asientos, Ags. Mexico), and who also lived in a "point of no return" (Loreto, Zac.), build her own sense of time. Thus, the essay also inquiries, discusses and explores symbolic mechanisms of time as a result of relationships between people and environment.
