Abstract

This work narrates the whys and wherefores of geographical demarcation of the state of Jalisco. It starts with the creation of the kindoms of Nueva España, Nueva Galicia and Nueva Vizcaya; it continues with the conflicts generated among these kindoms and their dependences until the configuration of the present state of Jalisco, Zacatecas, Colima, Aguascalientes and Nayarit.
