Abstract

This article presents some results obtained in a study carried out at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes with 407 young people studying in 20 undergraduate courses during the January-June 1995 semester. One of the goals of this work was to know the attitudes of university students towards science, toward scientists and towards the so-called careers of science. To achieve this purpose, a questionnaire was designed that explored the three dimensions that the traditional theoretical model of attitudes proposes, namely: the cognitive component, the affective component and the connative component or action tendency.
