Abstract

In the present text a brief critical and analytical comment is made about the photographic project Habitat for a deer of Lucía Castañeda Garma. It begins by thinking on the practice of taxidermy and links it with general photographic practice. The relationship that Castañeda establishes to carry out this project among taxidermy, habitat, animal and photography is mentioned. From here we get an argument that is presented as a critique of the claims of the idea of Museum of Natural History of modernity. We then ask ourselves about what this project aims as a whole in relation to our modern way of being, how we deal with taxonomy and modernity.
