Abstract

Collaborative networks is a relevant topic for the economic, social and individual development of entrepreneurs. It is based on the neo-institutional theory with which the producers of chili in Mexico are analyzed. The main objective of the study is to measure the effects of both business and institutional collaborative networks on entrepreneurial intentions. An empirical study was conducted with 94 farmers located in the state of Aguascalientes. The hypotheses raised were contrasted from multivariate regressions. The most relevant results obtained focus on institutional networks as triggers of entrepreneurial intent, having different effects from each other by combining schooling and experience in the model. In the same way, theoretical contributions lie in the development of an entrepreneurial intention perspective based on academic training with important implications for producers.
