This article analyzed the way in which electric lighting and the cinematograph were introduced in the theaters of Puebla between 1888 and 1921. The purpose was to understand this process of invasion of technology in these spaces and its repercussions on bourgeois entertainment. Through advertising in the press and approaching the problem from the history of daily life, it was possible to discover the changes in urban rhythms and, in turn, in the habits that make them up. This technology reached the urban space; however, theaters have not been taken into account in studies on electrification.
