Abstract

The article describes how the relationship between history and geography gives rise to historical geography, which consists of the study of man in the past and his interaction with nature. In this way, the origin of the Aztec culture is described, as well as the geographical territory in which its settlements and buildings were located. On the other hand the activities with which they subsisted are mentioned, a good example is the agriculture in chinampas. It also refers to the expansion of the empire to other territories and its maximum splendor, as well as its fall at the hands of the troops of Hernan Cortes in 1521.
