Abstract

The invention of the cinematograph changed the world because of the marvelous images it produced, at a time when man had reached his greatest development and peak and felt invincible; in those years of the Belle Époque at the beginning of the last century. Given its relevance and geographical extension to our territory, this work portrays the early years of cinema in Mexico, as well as the impact it had on the society of its time. We will talk about its important characters, political and social functions. We will also study the cinema in Aguascalientes, the way it was received by the population and the role it played in the formative stage of the national film industry. Finally, we will close with Mexico's contributions to filmmaking.
