Abstract

The global economic system is based on a model of consumption and production that relies heavily on fossil fuels and other unsustainable practices. Human action, under the technological and economic impetus, now has the capacity to transform our living conditions, or even destroy them. The power given to mankind by techno science has made him a threat not only to himself but also to the entire biosphere. Thus, how can we overcome the environmental crisis situation in a world in which technical civilization has taken control? The problem at this level is that of domain control, that is to say, the regulation of our technical power. The ethical paradigm, therefore, needs to be changed. The aim of this work is to present, from the analytical method, the ethics of Jonas’ responsibility as a new paradigm for sustainable and ecological development in so far as it includes a dimension of prevention that is inscribed in the future.
