As has happened with COVID-19, the meaning attributed to the concepts of health, and even more so, illness, has been medical—clinical to be more precise. This is understandable. After all, there have been many centuries of healing and caring for the suffering or disabled, or at least attempts to do so. However, understandability is not entirely synonymous with logic. These terms are, if not polysemic, at least amphibological, even within the field of health itself.
