Knowledge and power, neutrality of science, neutrality of the state, neutrality of technology.Abstract
The aim of this paper is a double one. First, I will draw a connection between the common modern notion of knowledge as power and another notion of power, not related to knowledge in this case, but to political power and its legitimacy. Secondly, I will try to show that the development and realization, throughout technology, of this modern notion of knowledge as power poses some challenges to the notion of political power which at first was shown as closely connected to this notion technoscientific power which now seems to be turning against it.Downloads
