La simbolización del cuervo en dos ejemplos del Conde Lucanor
Abstract
In classical and oriental fables, the raven has often been associated with betrayal, vanity and tempest. This symbolism has persisted in the literary and cultural canon, where the bird has come to represent an imminent warning against the dangers of pride and lack of discernment. In such a way, Don Juan Manuel recreates in the tales or examples V and XIX a negative look of that animal, which on one hand reflects its vanity, and on the other its qualities of revenge and betrayal.
