The work that opened the literary current of the post-revolutionary novel was Los de Abajo by Mariano Azuela. Written in 1915, this great creation of Mexican literature has become a must-read for those who want to know more about a historical period of our country that broke paradigms: the Mexican Revolution. As it is a true portrait of a past and interesting period, it deserves a study that talks about its origins, its characteristics, its context and its plot. Therefore, this article intends to analyze and describe it in a brief but sufficient way.
