The article provides a general context on the polarization of the world and the repressive actions of the Mexican government in the face of the sympathy that some inhabitants showed for socialism (dirty war). It then describes the efforts of the Revolutionary Front of Socialist Action (FRAS) in Aguascalientes, which was created to reduce the attacks and harassment suffered by the inhabitants of the Sierra de Guerrero at the hands of the Mexican army, as well as a means of support for the Party of the Poor.
Likewise, the 23rd of September Communist League did not have operations in Aguascalientes, however it was one of the largest socialist groups in terms of the number of guerrillas.
