Saturnino Herrán is one of the most recognized artists for being a painter of cultural heritage at both national and international level, his story begins in the hidrocalida’s land and developed until leaving a mark on our culture, as he is one of the precursors of Mexican nationalism he inspired other fellow artist to initiate new changes in the art; various historical events allowed the creation of what now identify us as Mexicans, hence it is considered necessary to understand his history in order to comprehend how the Mexican identity developed in these years and the desire to express our origins through our culture.
