In the different processes linked to the political history of nineteenthcentury Mexico, the separation of Aguascalientes from the state of Zacatecas is one of the
most peculiar events in the sense of the implications and development of events. Well, the present work seeks to resume the process of emancipation and the consolidation of state independence, through the existing historiography on this process, seeking to highlight what is the rhetoric emanating and underlying these events, without ignoring the national and regional context, as well as the influences they had on the process of shaping the nascent political entity.
